摘要: This paper examines the network inter-domain routing information exchanged between backbone service providers at major U.S. public Internet exchange points. instability, or rapid fluctuation of reachability information, is an important problem currently facing engineering community. High levels instability can lead to packet loss, increased latency and time convergence. At extreme, high have loss internal connectivity in wide-area, national networks. In this paper, we describe several unexpected trends examine a number anomalies pathologies observed information. The analysis based on data collected from BGP messages generated by border routers five core's points during nine month period. We show that volume these updates orders magnitude more than expected majority redundant, pathological. Furthermore, our reveals ill-behaved systematic properties routing. finally posit explanations for evaluate their potential impact infrastructure.
