摘要: The genome sequences of two Escherichia coli O104:H4 strains derived from different patients the 2011 German E. outbreak were determined. analyzed designated GOS1 and GOS2 (German strain). Both isolates comprise one chromosome approximately 5.31 Mbp putative plasmids. Comparisons 5,217 (GOS1) 5,224 (GOS2) predicted protein-encoding genes with various strains, a multilocus sequence typing analysis revealed that most similar to entero-aggregative (EAEC) strain 55989. In addition, plasmids is pAA-type EAEC which contain aggregative adhesion fimbrial operons. second plasmid harbors for extended-spectrum β-lactamases. This type widely distributed in pathogenic strains. A significant difference genomes those presence prophage encoding Shiga toxin, characteristic enterohemorrhagic (EHEC) unique combination genomic features strain, containing characteristics pathotypes EHEC, suggested it represents new pathotype Entero-Aggregative-Haemorrhagic Escherichiacoli (EAHEC).
