摘要: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is used to treat stenosis in high-risk patients that cannot undergo cardiac surgery. Because it minimally-invasive, could be beneficial better conditions as well. their expected lifetime much longer, the long-term benefit of TAVI implant must ensured. If stent placed too far into left ventricular outflow tract can impair movement anterior mitral leaftlet. Case reports demonstrated endocarditis and leaflet damage due such friction.
