摘要: Sustainable management of fish resources requires accurate identification species for precise assessment the stock size and recruitment. Molecular markers would complement morphological tools to differentiate more accurately. Mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I has been standardized as a barcode gene discriminating fishes. DNA barcoding applied in fisheries document diversity, identify ichthyoplankton, prey items, invasive species, parasites, authenticate processed products. Furthermore, with advent next generation sequencing technology, it is possible presence environmental collected from water soil. In culture fisheries, some larvae survival low due lack knowledge on their items. The approach NGS technology could be useful samples including thermally-processed products, gut content, using mini barcodes.
