摘要: Schemas related to gender identity have been hypothesized influence the salience of events, degree which they are perceived as threatening, and recruitment coping efforts when faced with a schema relevant stressor. Literature examining effects on psychophysiological responses stressors has relied laboratory studies. We examined association feminine contextual variables ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) in sample New York City Traffic Enforcement Agents (TEA) real world contexts. Multilevel regression modeling revealed that femininity was associated elevations diastolic TEA engaged gender-relevant interpersonal task. These findings show identity-related schemas may engagement cardiovascular salient activities.
