Ethnic differences in satisfaction with mental health services among representative people with psychosis in south London: PRiSM study 4.

摘要: BACKGROUND Previous studies show that among Black Caribbeans there is a higher prevalence of schizophrenia and levels both voluntary compulsory admissions. These suggest Caribbean patients may find psychiatric services less appropriate to their needs. The aim this study was establish the satisfaction with mental health representative psychosis in South London, especially relation ethnic group. METHOD A random sample all cases psychotic disorder identified two sectors interviewed using Verona Service Satisfaction Schedule. Questionnaires from 50 134 White were analysed. RESULTS patients, particularly those second generation born UK, significantly satisfied almost every aspect they received than either older or patients. Using multiple regression analysis it found younger unlike other number previous admissions significant predictor dissatisfaction. CONCLUSION Patients' ratings are worse for UK-born London.
