摘要: Of 300 subjects who had cold pressor tests in 1934, 207, aged 33 to 46 yr, were restudied 1961. The test was repeated 151 cases; others, current information supplied by subjects' physicians. Thirty-one subjects, hyperreactive 1934 and retested, remained hyperreactive; 21 previously normal reactors became hyperreactive. 40 hyperreactors four hypertensive, whereas none of 167 did so. In 1961, the family histories positive for hypertension 19 27 30 43 1961; reactors, corresponding figures 37 112 26 96. These findings support concepts that transient vasoconstriction precedes development vascular hyperreactivity is inherited may predispose hypertension.
