摘要: Atranorin (ATR) is the main compound from lichen Cladina kalbii Ahti, which grows in arid regions of northeastern Brazil. This study was conducted to evaluate anti-inflammatory and toxicological properties ATR. To properties, paw edema induced by injecting 0.1 mL carrageenan into subplantar region right hind rats, leukocyte migration injection 500 µL peritoneal cavity mice. In addition, we determined ATR cytotoxicity L929 cells MTT assay acute (5 g/kg-single dose) subchronic (50 mg/kg-30 days) toxicity tests Wistar rats. The results showed that (100 mg/kg 200 mg/kg) exhibited significant activity (paw migration). test, animals hypoactivity lethargy during initial period (first 6 hours) increase total protein, indirect bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase after 14 days ATR-treated male test revealed increases globulin, gamma-glutamyl transferase, phosphatase, direct bilirubin female Histological analysis no changes architecture morphology organs. These suggest has activity, with or cytotoxicity.
