摘要: We studied the relationships of renal lesions with clinical features and prognosis in 128 Japanese patients noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). Diabetic glomerulosclerosis (DMGS) was found 108 cases (84.4%), DM-associated glomerulonephritis (GN), IgA nephropathy membranous nephropathy, 20 (15.6%). There no significant difference age at biopsy, DM onset, duration, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), urine protein serum level between DMGS GN. With respect to histological parameters, increase mesangial matrix more closely related GFR than degree sclerosis. The index lesion (IGL), which calculated by combining these two lesions, had a correlation tubulo-interstitial lesions. suggested that change an initiating reaction, interstitial one secondary NIDDM patients. function after biopsy whose creatinine less 1.2 mg/dl, poorer nodular those diffuse lesion. grade also severe However, controls blood glucose, pressure, total cholesterol were not different among groups. On other hand, most associated GN did for long period, up 10 years.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
