摘要: DNA mismatch repair (MMR) is an essential physiological process for correcting mutations occurring during replication. Deficient MMR (dMMR) leads to increased tumour mutational burden, with a heightened risk of neoplasia. Demonstration dMMR via the immunohistochemical assessment proteins useful when screening inherited cancer syndromes (especially Lynch syndrome) and prediction clinical response conventional chemotherapy novel immunotherapies. Identification may also be helpful in other situations e.g. considering diagnosis dysplasia sessile serrated lesions large intestine. This article provides practical illustrated guide interpretation, using series examples.
