摘要: Abstract A new model to explain both the Ly-α bulge of Jupiter and heating excess jovian upper atmosphere is presented. Based on an idealized representation auroral activity, we precisely describe how thermospheric winds, which may form near northern southern oval maximum activity regions in aurora, could propagate along planet surface collide at equator 100° longitudinal system III. In this collision, part energy converted random wave motion heat, remaining transferred two lateral outgoing jets. The heat enhance atomic H cross section, explaining observed for brightness width line. kinetic carried by jets spreads over whole as thermal energy, atmosphere. resulting dynamics budget are carefully described.
