摘要: The production of cultures HEp-2 and BHK-21 cells persistently infected with a type 1 simian foamy virus is described. After infection, showed no structural changes, whereas lost their normal spindle shape mitochondrial damage, some contained many lysosomes. Thin sections also that few particles in low concentration, infectious could be isolated from both the supernatant fluid. No was seen thin cells, although titer recovered intermittently lysed cells. Both carrier were immune to challenge homologous antigen detected over 90% even after growth for 9 weeks presence virus-neutralizing serum. distribution cell types described compared cytocidal infections.
