摘要: Estimation of energy expenditure (EE) by heart-rate (HR) monitoring (HRM) assumes that the relation between HR and oxygen consumption (VO2) is stable days within a day. To evaluate this assumption, 12 healthy subjects underwent an HR-VO2 calibration session on two mornings afternoons, with one morning afternoon same Measurements were made while supine, sitting, standing shifting body weight side-to-side, walking at four intensities. Subjects wore monitor during waking hours another day (15.1 +/- 1.5 h). Regression analysis was used to determine VO2 in sedentary active ranges, EE values (HRM-EE) based sessions calculated for each subject. The group mean HRM-EE nearly identical (CV: 1.1%). regression equations generated from did not differ significantly as whole, but some there significant differences among slope equation (P = 0.005). Intraindividual CVs generally < 10%, ranged 0.1% 24.7%. In general, individual, more variable than VO2, intraindividual variability associated flex range. HRM appropriate assessment group; however, caution recommended when individual determinations EE.
