Effects of cigarette smoking on bicarbonate and volume of duodenal contents.

摘要: The effect of smoking on bicarbonate and volume duodenal juice was studied. It found that in the basal condition produced significant decreases content samples. On contrary, during pancreatic stimulation with secretin at approximately 50% maximal secretion, resulted increases output volume. Decrease buffering power can, least partially, explain causative relation peptic ulcer disease.
