摘要: Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is one of the most promising biopolymers due to its biodegradable nature and good tensile strength. In spite these advantages, low impact strength slow crystallization rate exhibited by PLA limit their end use applications. order overcome drawbacks, an attempt has been made in present study prepare binary ternary blends with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH). The effect degree hydrolysis EVA on thermal mechanical properties investigated. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis elucidated fact that process effective respect increase reaction time. Differential scanning calorimetry results disclose prominent decrement cold temperature display a distinct melt peak comparison neat PLA. This clear indication EVOH acted as nucleating agent terms clearly indicated reduction stiffness after addition matrix. For PLA, four fold increment elongation at break (%) are observed compared Morphological studies revealed presence adhesion between matrix EVOH.
