摘要: Indications for shoulder arthroplasty are numerous, mainly owing to glenohumeral osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or fracture of the proximal humerus. However, anatomy and biomechanics complex has evolved significantly over past 30 years. This paper presents main recent evolutions in replacement, questions not answered yet, future areas research. The review focuses firstly on design, positioning, fixation humeral component, secondly glenoid implant, thirdly other concepts such as reversed prosthesis, cementless surface replacement arthroplasty, bipolar arthroplasty. demonstrates that more research is needed. Although, long term, large randomized trials needed settle fundamental what type which kind should be used, biomechanical laboratory focused primarily comprehension loosening, a major cause total failure, significance radiolucent lines often seen but with no clear understanding about their relation failure.
