摘要: Summary Introduction and Background Hypospadias is a common birth defect. It present in about 34.2 10,000 live births North America. However, few studies have evaluated the immediate reoperation readmission rates following elective repair. Objective This study aimed to define of hypospadias repair, improve pre-operative counseling on risks procedure. Study design The Pediatric Health Information System (PHIS) was interrogated from 2004 2015 for all repairs (ICD-9-CM code 58.45) performed ambulatory surgical setting. were then determined: age at initial operation, insurance status, race, presence or absence within 30 days, repeat repair (same ICD-9 code), another urethral operation (ICD-9 CM 58.XX, excluding 58.45). Mixed effects logistic regression with dependent variables 30-day encounter, emergency department (ED) visit, readmission, reoperation; independent age, ethnicity, status. Results identified 45,264 during 2004–2015 43 hospitals. Within days procedures, 2826 (6.2%) had additional encounters ED same facilities, 546 (1.2%) readmissions. A total 105 (0.2%) underwent second anesthetic first days. With regards odds encounter significantly increased patients aged Discussion described epidemiology clinical events occurring tertiary children's hospital more than 45,000 repairs. Limitations included cohort generated single set codes. Conclusions Elective low rate Patients
