摘要: In connection with the accelerating effect of poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) on a Williamson reaction, PhONa + NC4H9Br PhO-(n-C4H9) NaBr, ionic dissociation sodium phenoxide (PhONa) was studied by means conductance measurements and ultraviolet spectroscopy. Results suggest that degree increased amount PVP as well N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), monomeric analog, being much larger than NMP at same concentration. It is assumed free phenolate anion produced solvation cation or pyrrolidone residues plays an important role in acceleration reaction higher rates solution are due to greater PhONa.
