摘要: The relationship between the numbers of growth layers counted in mandible and cementum lower canines from 87 walrus (Odobenus rosmarus rosmarus) was examined. A 1:1 correlation counts two tissues found males ≤ 19 years old females ≤ 9 old. No with ≥ 21 or ≥ 10 cemental layers. In physically mature walrus, mandibular layering unreliable for age analysis. Resorption a reduced rate appear to be main factors limiting estimates walrus.
