An intelligent graphical user interface for a design environment

摘要: The development of an intelligent graphical user interface has been considered as one the intermediate objectives for provision environment to assist a team cooperating designers during design chemical plants. Within environment, knowledge representation proposed maintain and use history process. It consists five types closely interrelated objects: projects, metaschema, schema, units, items equipment. was designed make those objects their relations easily accessible examination manipulation. is composed three subsystems: Top Window that acts system manager; Scheme Hierarchy displays structure history; Flowsheet Tool provides alternative designs. Objects shown by are active in sense they associated set behaviours responses mouse events (e.g. moving, displaying menu, generating browsing window). fully integrated with underlying system, allows flexible navigation through various parts structure. implemented using object-oriented paradigm, its open architecture eases access integration other applications. >
