摘要: OBJECTIVE The primary aim of the study was to generate new prediction equations for estimation maxillary and mandibular canine premolar widths based on incisors first permanent molar widths. METHODS A total 2,340 calculations (768 sum incisor widths, 1,572 widths) were performed, a digital stereomicroscope used derive models measurements. Mesiodistal teeth measured via scanned models. RESULTS There strong positive correlation between (r = 0.85994, r(2) 0.7395) 0.8708, 0.7582) intraclass coefficients statistically significant, in range, with an average 0.9. Linear regression analysis establish equations. Prediction developed estimate arches Y 15.746 + 0.602 × (sum [SMI] molars), 18.224 0.540 (SMI 16.186 0.586 molars) both genders, parameters 16.391 0.564 14.444 0.609 19.915 0.481 molars). CONCLUSIONS These formulas will be helpful orthodontic diagnosis clinical treatment planning during mixed dentition stage.
