摘要: We report the results of first sensitive L-band (3.4 μm) imaging survey young IC 348 cluster in Perseus. In conjunction with previously acquired JHK (1.25, 1.65, and 2.2 observations, we use data to obtain a census circumstellar disk population mK = mL ≤ 12.0 central ~110 arcmin2 region cluster. An analysis JHKL colors 107 sources indicates that 65% ± 8% membership possesses (inner) disks. This fraction is lower than those (86% 80% 7%) obtained from similar surveys younger NGC 2024 Trapezium clusters, suggesting clusters decreases age. Sources disks have median age 0.9 Myr, while diskless 1.4 for distance 320 pc. Although difference ages between two populations only marginally significant, our suggest over timescale ~2–3 Myr more third disappear. Moreover, find at very high confidence level function spectral type. All stars earlier G appear diskless, types later ranging 50%–67%, latest-type having higher fraction. suggests around evolved rapidly types. The both Taurus same within errors, least no O lifetime independent environment.
