摘要: Livestock production is thought to be adversely affected by detrimental effects of extreme climatic conditions. Consequently, adaptation, mitigation and amelioration climates have played a major role in combating the impact livestock production. While measures reduce growth greenhouse gas emissions are an important response threat climate change, adaptation change will also form necessary part response. The salient strategies developing less sensitive breeds, improving water availability, animal health, promoting women empowerment, various policy issues, establishing early warning systems suitable capacity building programmes for different stakeholders. Developing therefore ensuring that countries well prepared deal with any negative impacts may occur as result change. integration new technologies into research technology transfer potentially offers many opportunities further development strategies. Adapting reducing GHG require significant changes farming could affect productivity. Many viable exist CH4 from enteric fermentation ruminant animals manure management facilities. To considered viable, these emission reduction must consistent continued economic viability producer accommodate cultural factors ownership management. This chapter elaborates on ameliorative should given consideration prevent losses incurred due environmental stresses Reducing requires multidisciplinary approaches which emphasise nutrition, housing health. Therefore, emphasis all three aspects sustain under changing scenario.
