摘要: In recent years, Arab-Palestinian citizens in Israel are search of ‘a new vocabulary citizenship’, amongst other ways, by resorting to ‘alternative educational initiatives’. We investigate and compare three alternative schools, each challenges the contested conception Israeli citizenship. Our findings reveal different strategies become ‘claimants rights’, yet all initiatives demonstrate constraints Arab face while trying ‘activist citizens’ (Isin 2009).
