摘要: Analyses of particle size distributions indicate that clay minerals and other diagenetic metamorphic commonly undergo recrystallization by Ostwald ripening. The shapes their can yield the rate law for this process. One consequence ripening is a record process preserved in various sizes. Therefore, one determine detailed geologic history clays recrystallized separating, from single sample, sizes independent chemical, structural, isotopic analyses.
