摘要: Abstract A series of neutral η 6 -C Me complexes lanthanide elements Ln(η ) (AlCl 4 3 · MeC H 5 (Ln = Nd, Sm, Gd, Yb) has been prepared directly in good yields from the reaction LnCl , AlCl and C toluene. The have characterized by elemental analysis, IR MS. Complex Yb(η ME )(AlCl ( 1 crystallizes toluene monoclinic space group P 2 / a with 12.203(4), b 16.918(4), c 18.718(3) A, β 100.84(3)°, V 3795.37 Z 4, D calcd 1.63 g cm −3 . X-ray diffraction study reveals that Yb atom distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry an apical position. average YbC bond length is 2.86(4) A.
