摘要: Introduction : Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) is one of the most common causes small vessel vasculitis in children, but sometimes may have an atypical presentation. Objective To report unusual case transient cortical blindness a patient with purpura. Case A 3-year-old female child was brought complaint diffuse abdominal pain and hematochezia, which preceded by high grade fever cough. Three days later she developed hematuria, hematemesis, melena hemoptysis along palpable Four became irritable few episodes generelized tonic clonic seizure, followed blindness. The CT scan brain showed bilateral nonenhancing occipital hypodensity. magnetic resonance venography thrombosis transverse sigmoid sinus. She treated corticosteroids her mental status vision improved. Conclusion HSP can cause blindness, recovery good if therapy initiated at appropriate time.
