Segmented polymers — A new class of doped non-conjugated polymers with enhanced electrical conductivity

摘要: A new class of segmented non-conjugated dopable polymers, built up from short conjugated blocks connected with flexible chains (spacers), has been proposed. After the redox reaction doping these polymers exhibit properties similar to those fully and increase considerably their electrical conductivity. solid state polymer effect observed. It found that building units (biphenyl, diphenyl ether 1,3,4-oxadiazole) do not interact dopant when included in a low molecular weight substance. When are incorporated chain they change reactivity can be doped. The process takes place only is nature this phase considerable importance. phenomenon observed, i.e. structure could explained favourable arrangement phase, leading enhanced π-π- interaction (equivalent extended conjugation).
