Structuring factors of the spatio-temporal variability of macrozoobenthos assemblages in a southern Mediterranean lagoon: How useful for bioindication is a multi-biotic indices approach?

摘要: The authors investigated the impact of extension El Kantra Channel on composition and structure macrobenthic assemblages in Boughrara Lagoon (Gulf Gabes, Tunisia along with use 4 biotic indices (AMBI, BENTIX, M-AMBI TUBI). Thirteen stations were sampled seasonally 2012-2013. Forty-one species found 2012-2013 not recorded 2009-2010, including 20 polychaetes belonging to trophic groups deposit-feeders carnivores which are expected increase areas disturbed by organic pollution. During survey, we a high fish mortality, essentially caused development harmful algal blooms (HAB) increased matter deposition, thus inducing polychaete development. This seems weaken bio-indicating power used here which, paradoxically, classified all at ecological status. A review these their applicability marine environments is recommended.
