摘要: The studies discussed here have shown a fairly consistent relationship between the effects of drugs on biogenic amines, particularly norepinephrine, and affective or behavioral states. Those which cause depletion inactivation norepinephrine centrally produce sedation depression, while increase potentiate brain are associated with stimulation excitement generally an antidepressant effect in man (Table 1). From these findings, number investigators formulated concept, designated catecholamine hypothesis disorders (6), that some, if not all, depressions may be relative deficiency at functionally important adrenergic receptor sites brain, whereas elations excess such amines. It is possible either to confirm reject this basis currently available clinical data. Although there does appear pharmacological agents metabolism state, rigorous extrapolation from pathophysiology cannot made. Confirmation must ultimately depend upon direct demonstration biochemical abnormality naturally occurring illness. should emphasized, however, would necessarily imply genetic constitutional, rather than environmental psychological, etiology depression. Whereas specific factors importance possibly depressions, it equally conceivable early experiences infant child enduring changes predispose some individuals adulthood. likely amines alone will account for complex phenomena normal pathological affect. particular crucial regulation affect, any comprehensive formulation physiology state include many other concomitant biochemical, physiological, psychological factors. review relatively little has been said concerning intricate set determinants emotion, stressed. normally alterations induced by events well known personal experience. interactions various physiological factors, complexity determinants, including cognitive derived individual's remote immediate past experiences, received only limited study under adequately controlled conditions. anticipated, prove fruitful area future research, within multifactorial framework one expect understand fully emotional state.
