Femtosecond dissociation dynamics of methyl iodide clusters

摘要: The photodissociation dynamics of methyl iodide clusters using λ=270 nm as pump and λ=405 probe are studied a femtosecond two color pump–probe laser arrangement combined with reflectron time-of-flight (RTOF) mass spectrometer. This enables the A state 10s Rydberg to be accessed beam. Of particular interest is comparison monomer clustered species. Clocking dissociation shows transient which indicative fast C–I bond breakage expected upon excitation into dissociating state, or predissociative state.
