摘要: This invention provides a continuous process for separating gaseous phase from hydrocarbon liquid containing carbonaceous particulates and gases. By feeding tangentially separator maintaining particulate-liquid slurry downward velocity of about 0.01 0.25 fps in total solids weight percent 0.1 30%, temperature 550° 900° F., residence time 30 360 seconds, length/diameter ratio 20/1 50/1, so that characterization factor, α, defined ##STR1## DOES NOT EXCEED ABOUT 48 (°R sec 2 )/ft, deposit materials on interior surface may be substantially eliminated.
