摘要: This paper presents the dispersion characteristics of FD-TD algorithm by showing numerical phase and group velocities TEM, TE or TM modal solutions. For TEM wave propagation, there exist three fundamental directions to which can be expressed only a single variable (wave number k frequency ω). Those special were chosen show dispersive nature depend explicitly on frequencies. In view similarities between TLM algorithms, comparison velocity both methods was made. Under condition where stability factor s is larger than 1/2, found less that original TLM. However, newly developed symmetrical method appears algorithm. In simulation waveguide solutions, it exists an optimum provide least error in application. A procedure, determines maximum allowed Fmax for best results, proposed this paper.
