摘要: The HSPA2 gene is a poorly characterized member of the HSPA (HSP70) family. was originally described as testis-specific and expressed at highest level in pachytene spermatocytes rodents, expression which not induced by heat shock. crucial for male fertility. However, recent advances have shown that various tumors certain types somatic tissues. In this review, we summarize current knowledge on pattern, including information transcriptional, translational, posttranslational, epigenetic mechanisms regulate expression. We also present discuss views concerning functions protein spermatogenetic, somatic, cancer cells. properties HSPA2, although limited, shows unique understanding whether could become relevant biomarker or therapeutically applicable target requires extensive further studies.
