Opinions of Individuals Who have had Myocardial Infarction About Sex

摘要: This study was conducted as a descriptive and qualitative research to understand the opinions of individuals who have had myocardial infarction about sex, impact disease on their sexual lives counseling needs. The included 200 patients registered in cardiology department university hospital while population consisted 32 meeting eligibility criteria study. data were collected by addressing total 12 questions Individual In-depth Interview population. Semi-structured interviews utilized explore sexuality. In analysis stage, digital voice records transcribed first, then these transcripts combined with observation notes raw processed for content analysis. As result analysis, 10 themes formed: “Sex Is Everything”, Private It Cannot be Talked About”, “Heart Disease Has Negative Impact Sexual Life”, “Age Matters Sex”, “Sexual Activity Beneficial Heart”, “Fear Having Heart Attack during Activity”, “Spouses (Female) Lacking Appetite”, Expression Strength,” “Turkish Women Don’t Refuse Have Sex Their Husbands” “Health Personnel Talk Patients Sex”. According findings from this study, stated that sex basic need affected negatively due fear having heart attack but they could not talk problems health professionals. is recommended provided settings where can comfortably express problems, functions assessed considered patient care planning sessions protection covered more education.
