摘要: The relationship between depression and disability in idiopathic Parkinson's disease (PD) was examined 31 outpatients. Thirteen percent had current major (MD), 10% dysthymia, 32% a lifetime history of MD. Depression significantly related to both illness severity functional impairment. Male patients with early-onset PD (before age 55) more mood anxiety disorders than late-onset male patients. Patients right-sided depressive symptoms those left-sided PD. On multiple regression analyses, predicted impaired social, role, physical functioning for men (but not women), independent the impact severity. results suggest that treatment may improve function; however, findings gender differences will require replication.
