摘要: Eighty cases of duct carcinoma in situ (DCIS) the breast have been investigated by a cohort-retrospective study. These consisted 8.5 per 1,000 9,446 biopsies originally diagnosed as benign, between 1964 and 1976, with mean follow-up 17.5 years. There were forty-one (51%) DCIS clinging type (CC); 30 (37.%) CC associated other types DCIS; nine than two which comedo-type. Invasive (IDC) subsequently developed 11 patients (14%), whereas recurred 5 (6%). The recurrence was ipsilateral 12 these 16 patients. IDC appeared more frequently, high statistical significance, when lesion present original biopsy showed pleomorphic (P) nuclei (ie, poorly differentiated cyto-nuclear morphology). Standardized Morbidity Ratio (SMR) 8.0 (95% CI; 2.9-17.5) general population reference. that following displaying P also statistically significantly aggressive behavior. It is suggested are followed-up for considerable length time, two-wave pattern aggressiveness becomes apparent. develops after leads to death precociously appearing DCIS, especially those showing bland nuclear cytology.
