摘要: The quality of roll formed products is known to be highly sensitive and dependent on the process parameters thus unavoidable variations these during mass production. To maintain a constant high product quality, new former with an adjustable final forming stand developed at Deakin University enabling continuous compensation for possible shape defects. In this work, numerical approach robust in-line control V-section profile presented, combining aspects design methods. A study performed determine relationship between controllable settings uncontrollable variation incoming material properties respect common defects longitudinal bow springback. computationally expensive non-linear FE simulations used in are subsequently replaced by metamod-els based efficient Single Response Surfaces. Using metamodels, optimal setting determined optimization techniques effect analyzed. It shown that subsequent adjustment position leads significantly improved preventing minimizing deteriorating effects scattering variables.
