摘要: Abstract Parameters of a previously published feedback model are determined for the 24 hour petal rhythm Kalanchoe blossfeldiana. This is done by using results from phase shift experiments on this plant, shifts being caused light perturbations. With these parameters and plant itself show not only similar but also changes in amplitude after perturbation. Effects two consecutive perturbations can then be predicted model. The importance such emphasized as they provide basis discussions entrainment phenomena. “Reversing” “decreasing transients” well so-called “singular state” (a non-oscillatory state) known experimental studies biological 24-hour rhythms. It shown that phenomena general features observed version. discussed relation to rhythms with shorter periods e.g. rhythmic growth movements young sunflower plants. In oat plants water output leaves it perturbation causes roughly same dark given half period later. Finally, calculations presented showing single oscillator cannot always directly applied population non-interacting oscillators slightly different free-running periods.
