摘要: An investigation is carried out to manifest types of AC losses in silver-sheathed Bi-2223 multifilamentary tapes that can be reduced by twisting filaments. The losses, external magnetic fields parallel the tape surface, consist mainly due macroscopic screening currents multiple filaments and microscopic grains. former loss depends greatly on filament twist pitch, while latter does not.
