Vico, rhetorical humanism, and the study methods ofourtime

摘要: Through his philosophical concern for the development of an appropriately humane scientific mode investigating verbal, intellectual, and affective man, as well through anti‐Cartesian criticism mathematical scien‐tism, Giambattista Vico provides various historical, philological, rhetorical means inquiry which lend insight into similar epistemological questions methodological tensions apparent in humanistic approaches to theoretical study rhetoric today.
