摘要: Abstract Background The intercellular lipids (ICL) of stratum corneum (SC) play an important role in maintaining the skin barrier function. lateral and lamellar packing order ICL SC is not homogenous, but rather depth-dependent. Objective This study aimed to analyze influence topically applied mineral-derived (paraffin petrolatum) plant-derived (almond oil jojoba oil) oils on depth-dependent profile ordering vivo. Method Confocal Raman microscopy (CRM), a unique tool depth structure non-invasively, employed investigate interaction between human Results results show that response oils’ permeation varies depths. All remain upper layers (0–20% thickness) predominated differences from intact skin. In these depths, treated with shows more disordered than (p 0.1), except at 30% thickness. deeper (60–100% thickness), no difference oil-treated can be observed, depths 70–90% thickness, where slight changes disorder states are measured for Conclusion Both types superficial thickness). Skin mineral- significantly higher compared Plant-derived changed which likely due penetration free fatty acids SC.
