摘要: Imitation is an important form of social behavior, and research has aimed to discover explain the neural kinematic aspects imitation. However, much this featured single participants imitating in response pre-recorded video stimuli. This spite findings that show reduced activation vs. real life movement stimuli, particularly motor cortex. We investigated degree which stimuli may affect imitation process using a novel motion tracking paradigm with high spatial temporal resolution. recorded 14 positions on hands, arms, heads two individuals experiment. One individual freely moved within given parameters (moving balls across series pegs) second participant imitated. task was performed either simple (one ball) or complex (three balls) difficulty, face-to-face via live projection. After exploratory analysis, three dependent variables were chosen for examination: 3D grip position, joint angles arm, aperture. A cross-correlation multivariate analysis revealed object-directed accuracy (as represented by position) compared feedback, difficulty. most prevalent left-right forward-back motions, relevant imitator sitting actor projected same actor. The results suggest tasks require imitation, not be ecologically valid way present materials. no similar effects found angle aperture variables, suggesting there are limits influence implications these discussed regards previous findings, suggestions future experimentation.
