摘要: The soybean aphid (Aphis glycines) is one of the most important pests soybeans in Northcentral region US. It has been hypothesized that aphids avoid effective defenses by inhibiting induction jasmonate-regulated plant defense responses. Given role fatty acids play jasmonate-induced defenses, we analyzed acid profile leaves and seeds from aphid-infested plants. Results showed reduce amount polyunsaturated with a concomitant increase palmitic acid. In seeds, reduction was associated an stearic oleic One acids, linolenic acid, precursor jasmonate; thus, these changes metabolism may be examples “metabolic hijacking” where organism takes over another, leading to prevention production compounds would otherwise detrimental attacker. pattern points possible interference biosynthesis desaturation, especially at FAB1, palmitate, FAD2 FAD6, acids. However, regulation does not seem transcriptional.
