摘要: The results over a mean period of 2 years successful percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in 100 consecutive patients with chronic total occlusion were compared those whose PTCA was unsuccessful. groups comparable terms gender, age and arteries attempted. A control angiography the group performed 62 showed restenosis 28 (45%). Repeat 21 versus 1 patient failed (p less than 0.0001). At follow-up, PTCA, there 57 symptom-free 26 Coronary artery bypass surgery 7 37 0.0001), 5 3 deaths (difference not significant), respectively. In 27 82 (33%) had positive stress test results, 49 85 (58%) unsuccessful 0.001). double product (beats/min x mm Hg/100) improved from 247 +/- before to 277 61 0.001) at whereas it did significantly change PTCA. work load (W) 95 34 124 40 follow-up significantly, 98 108 0.05).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
