摘要: We examined ant-gathering with tools by captive tufted capuchins (Cebus apella) via two experiments. In Experiment 1, we provided groups of subjects sticks and small branches an apparatus that accommodated the use to gather ants. 2, sealed acetate same stones. Seven 14 used leaves as probes extract ants from apparatus. Six them modified detaching larger branches, breaking into or more pieces, subtracting bark. Three later a stone stick tool-set penetrate barriers These results demonstrate Cebus capture moving prey are consistent idea sensorimotor skills associated production in primates evolved convergently great apes.
