摘要: This paper attempts to show that the sequence of a typical near death experience (NDE) is predictable and reproducible, enough suggest NDE symptom specific altered mental state seen in large number medical surgical conditions. I attempt explain on an anatomical, physiologic, psychological basis how NDEs might be caused, even religion. also describe 38-year-old insulin-dependent diabetic who developed hypoglycemia secondary lack caloric intake support her daily insulin usage. She did not appear life-threatened from cardiovascular standpoint. During hypoglycemic spell, patient appeared rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. Following resuscitation with intravenous injection dextrose, returned normal status, but recounted NDE.
