摘要: Background: Adolescents with asthma have a higher risk of morbidity and mortality than other age groups. Asthma self-management has been shown to improve outcomes; however, the concept is not explicitly defined. Methods: We use Norris method clarification delineate what constitutes in adolescents. Five databases were searched identify components adolescent self-management, lists relevant subconcepts compiled categorized. Results: Analysis revealed 4 specific domains behaviors: (1) symptom prevention; (2) monitoring; (3) acute management; (4) communication important others.
