Pediatric Endoscopic DCR: The Outcome in 50 Patients

摘要: Congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction is a very common condition affecting 20 % of infants. Pediatric DCR indicated when there no response to previous therapy like probing, or associated with recurrent dacryocystitis. This retrospective case series study 50 pediatric patients who underwent endoscopic in two centers, Jordan University Hospital/Jordan, and Mosul teaching private hospitals/Iraq. The age ranged from 3 12 years mean 6.2 years. overall success rate was 90 %, failed cases were mainly due presaccal obstruction. No major complications reported, but minor occurred about 60 % cases. As conclusion, safe effective procedure group.
