摘要: The aim of this study was to establish a fully capable diesel exhaust treatment system (4-way catalyst system) based on catalyzed particulate filter (cDPF) and Lean NOx trap (LNT) for meeting US Tier 2 emissions. In study, two modified combustion technologies, LTC (Low Temperature Combustion) PCCI (Premixed Controlled Compression Ignition), were used improved achieve high bed temperatures provide rich gas with low smoke utilize 4-way system. operation area expanded both lower higher loads using dual loop EGR (high-and low-pressure-loop EGR). effect air-fuel ratio, injection timing, intake manifold temperature stability soot emissions investigated. PCCI, characterized by increased advanced pilot injection, combined retarded main timings without low-smoke, at medium loads. quantity, pressure, rate investigated reduce smoke. For the evaluation, PSA DW10 (4-cylinder, 2000cc) CO examined five points representative FTP 75 test cycle. This confirmed that can facilitate conversion efficiency engine-out smoke, sufficient minor fuel penalty (BMEP: 0 8.2 bar). Estimated 0.012 g/mile (fresh catalyst), estimated 1.7% above baseline. method maintain very slightly gases also simultaneous DPF regeneration LNT desulfation.
